MARCH GOES OUT WITH ROAR
REACT Members were real busy at the end of March,. On March 30 a complex of Severe
Thunderstorms rolled through Flagler County producing high
winds, and a chance of tornadoes. 16 REACT members responded
to the Skywarn request. Skywarn was activated at 1700, and ran
until 1900. The GMRS system perform very well and the Team
helped relay weather reports during the period.
SEARCH AND RESCUE ACTIVATION
Flagler County Assist REACT responded to
a SAR request late in the evening on 3/31/00. Eight REACT
members responded to the request in a joint effort with the
County SAR Team. Four SAR teams went into the woods, but the
search went bust when the subject was located at someone's
house, hours after taking a hike in the woods.

1900hrs 145.470 and or 147.300Mhz.

regular, $24.00 family. Dues are needed to support Team operations.

GMRS REPEATER WORKED ON Florida Water has completed
their work on the TAC 8 repeater, which involved a move on the
repeater antenna line. No problems were encountered and the
system is up and running.
