Flagler County Assist
REACT was tested in 2004 by the historic hurricane season of that year.
The satellite images from NOAA only start to tell the story but cannot tell
the whole story. After Hurricane Charley, we thought that we had experienced
our big storm. But it was not over. The tropics would spin demon after demon
to come our way. In the 2004 season the state was pounded by Tropical Storm
Bonnie, Hurricane Charley, Hurricane Frances, Hurricane Ivan and Hurricane
Jeanne. Ivan hit Florida twice, it's remains swinging back south and crossing
the state. Flagler County Assist REACT provided a number of services to
a number of agencies and cities in Flagler County.
