Flagler County
Assist REACT provided assistance to FireFlight during a special
landing zone during the First Anual Chili Cook Off. This event raised
funds for a FireFighter who was injured on the job to help pay for
medical and other bills. Flagler County Assist was very proud to assist
with this event on November 15th 2008.
REACT Member Ric, REACT 49 walks around the nose
of FireFlight right after landing at Hershel King Memorial
Park in Flagler County, near Grand Haven
FireFlight resting at Hershel King Park. Pilot Dana
Morris landed right on this point between the basin
and Intracoastal Waterway.
FireFighters and families get a close look at the Aircraft.
Many firefighters came from other counties to support
the event.
More visitors check out Flagler County's helicopter.
REACT members begin to clear the landing zone of
Forign Objects and Debris or know as FOD. This is done
before a landing and before a launch to insure that the
area is safe and no objects can be blown about.
